Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer-IT Senior in Eglin Air Force Base, Florida
Description: Responsible for the system administration tasks at the United States Reprogramming Laboratory (USRL) test lines and Data Farm at Eglin Air Force Base FL.
Responsible for computer systems technical support in a Laboratory environment comprised of Linux, MS Windows, Sun Solaris and UNIX based real-time simulation and development systems, including software development, systems integration, operations and maintenance in a classified environment. Individual will work with other engineers, customers and vendors in configuring, integrating, modifying, upgrading, troubleshooting and supporting configuration management of all systems OS, drivers and applications software. Individual must have overall knowledge of all system and network administration tasks on the above platforms including managing user accounts, data backup, networking, security, disk management, software license management, etc.
Candidates must exhibit excellent problem solving skills, be a team player, possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills, and be able to adjust work schedule periodically to support program activities.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a Secret security clearance updated within the last 5 years to start. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills: RMF/JSIG experience (STIG) is desired.
Understanding of networks and switches.
Patch management tools such as Nessus and Shavlik.
Experience in a networked real-time and development environment. Experience with scripting, C/C++, PERL, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL Database, NetApp Data ONTAP and MS Office applications including VISIO also desired.
Any additional vendor provided advanced technical training and/or certifications.
Must be able to provide 2nd and/or 3rd shift and weekend support as required.
Active DoD and/or project clearances desired.
System administration experience in supporting/managing various OS platforms such as Linux (SLES, Redhat), MS Windows, UNIX (Solaris 9/10). Experience with system migration and vulnerability patching.
Security+ Certification and/or CISSP
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
